Questions we get.
Who is the employer of the extra?
In Network mode, we are (personnel placement agency with a CNESST licence). In My extras team mode, your business is. In both cases, the extra receives a wage and protections under the Labour Standards Act.
How much does it really cost?
Network mode: the worker's wage + 25% service fee, no subscription. Minimum 4 hours per shift. Urgent replacement (less than 4 hours notice): +2$/h. My extras team mode: free up to 10 extras, then 49$/month. Workers never pay anything.
What if someone does not show up?
We look for a replacement right away. The terms of our guarantee are shown before your first shift. An extra who is a no-show without notice receives a warning in our system.
When are extras paid?
The same day, once you approve the hours. If you do not approve within 24 h, the hours are auto-approved. No 2-to-3-week delays.
Can I hire an extra I like directly?
Yes. After 6 months of collaboration, you can hire them directly with no fee (anti-circumvention rule, Labour Standards Act). You can also add them to your My extras team list right away.
Is my data in Canada?
Yes. All data is hosted in Canada. We apply Law 25 requirements (minimal collection, consent, right of access and deletion, appointed privacy officer).
Do I need to take a selfie to be verified?
No. We verify your government-issued ID (front and back), no selfie required. A member of our team reviews it by hand within 24 hours. The selfie option will come later, following notification to the Commission d'accès à l'information.
Is the app available in French?
Yes. The entire interface and notifications are available in French (Quebec). You can change the language at any time in your settings.
